Twenty-Second day of Advent

"There are many kinds of stars in the sky.  On a clear night, one can see small stars and large stars, stars of different colors and even falling stars.
On the night of Jesus' birth, some men, called wise men, living a long way away from Bethlehem, saw a new bright star.
The wise men who saw a new large star for the first time at Christmas were men who were continually studying the stars.  Such studies were very important because it was from their knowledge of the location of the stars that people could find their way across the long desert in the dark of the night.  Any Boy Scout or Girl Scout, who may be walking out in the fields or woods at night-time, knows how to find his direction by studying the stars.  The thousands of sailors on ships crossing the ocean or pilots in airplanes flying through the skies chart their courses by the stars.
This is one of the marvelous things about the world in which we live.  Men are able to chart their journeys by studying the stars because of the orderliness of our universe.  There is a place for every star and every star is in its place, day after day."
