Cake time...

Bethany did an awesome job on the cakes and cupcakes.  I think everyone had a wonderful time today....and I know of two little girls who sure seemed pretty happy about the party too.

Ummmm.....yes, this is how the party started

Andrew was probably the most disrespectful/naughty towards me than he has ever been in all his life today as soon as we got to the party.  He wore me out in about thirty minutes.  Thankfully he started to come around and change his attitude after some discipline.....  But boy...that was tough.

I think Aunt Erin won the Best Dressed Award

Adeline was very excited when she saw Aunt Erin.  Aunt Erin looked awesome!  And the best part is that this entire outfit she had in her closet.  Grandpa and Grandma also dressed up and looked great but I didn't get a picture of it.

Brooke and Gabby's Birthday Party

We headed down to Goshen to celebrate both Gabby and Brooke's birthday's.  The theme was Princess and the Popstar!  Bethany made both Gabby and Brooke's dresses that turned out really nice.  Adeline came dressed as a princess but insisted on having her hair spray painted pink.  I wasn't a big fan of this but she sure liked it.

The boys and I spent some time outside playing in the snow this afternoon.  We built a small little fort just perfect for them to fit behind and throw their ammo.

Lego Star Wars!

We watched Lego Star Wars in our room tonight just before bed.  James was trying to get it to go on the ceiling (Andrew's idea), but it didn't quite work out.  We had fun though.  But After looking at this picture I have decided to paint our room a different color and finally put some things up on the wall.

Our first "little" snowman of 2013

The snow has just been coming down!  

Unfortunately it is the really soft snow and not quite packing snow so our snowman was a bit little.  I brought out one of Andrew's old hats but he refused to let me put it on the snowman so I had to take the hat I was wearing and put it on our snowman.  Fun day!  Fun kids!

Go Fish!

I LOVE playing games with the kids.  

I would play games over make-believe any day. 

(primarily because make-believe with Addy and Andrew is all about following their rules and saying only what they want you to say) This was one fun snow day.  I still have to teach Andrew how to hold his cards and if I got a Jessie match I was ordered to give it to Adeline or the same with a Buzz match that needed to go to Andrew.  Even though I never won (because I had to keep giving up my matches) it sure was a fun time.

Pretty Pretty Princess

Today Adeline had a snow day so we spent the entire morning playing games.  One we haven't played in awhile was Pretty Pretty Princess, but the main rule still lived on and that is that Adeline ALWAYS wins!

Role Play

Today Andrew was the husband who went to work as a part police officer and part businessman.  Apparently they work in a very sunny state :)

Someone is signed up for Preschool

That's right....he even wore his "school shoes" (penny loafers) when we went to the school.  We got to meet his new teacher and see his classroom.  This school is less than five minutes from our house and less than five minutes from Adeline's school.  It's going to be crazy come next fall.  I can't believe both my babies will be in school next year.  At least it's just half days for Andrew M-W-F otherwise I might just have a breakdown....

Bubble Paint

This morning we had fun with bubble paint.  The kids just loved it!
I love how in this picture the kids art looks just like wet blobs of paint :)  They really did turn out nice, once they were dry.

Watch out....there's an officer on duty!

Andrew decided to arrest me today while we were all playing.  I must say that with a police officer this cute I was more than willing to follow his orders.  As long as I got a kiss when he uncuffed me....and I did.

Kangaroo Palace!!!!!

We had a very fun play date with Chayse (Adeline's friend from the Omni) at our new Bounce House in town.  But next time I must remember to have the kids wear short sleeved shirts and bring water bottles.  By the end they were so exhausted, hot and thirsty!

Adeline loses her second tooth

This one did not go without some crying and fighting.  But I couldn't let her fall asleep for fear that she would swallow her own tooth.  It was just hanging by a thread.  When I did pull it out and had it in my hand she was still crying and then suddenly stopped when she opened her eyes and said "that was it?  you got it?"

A great start to the new year.  I think this smile is going to look very different come next January!
