Tooth #3

Today while we were eating lunch after church Adeline says "hey Mom, look".  When I look over I see her tooth completely twisted to the side.  Up until now I have left it up to her but the thought of her swallowing it (and possibly choking) was no longer her decision.  As she started to cry I told her that I was going to pull out the tooth and that she needed to trust me.  I asked her to open her mouth and while she was still crying I pulled out the tooth and put it up where she could see it.  She didn't even feel it and it didn't even bleed.  She was instantly on cloud nine bouncing around the house talking about the tooth fairy.

A night with the Morse family

Tonight we went over to the Morse house in New Era.  Adeline and Andrew were very much looking forward to going all day.  We were originally planning to go to the beach for the day but it was cloudy and rainy so we decided on dinner in the evening.
We played a fun game of kick ball....we were all so sweaty by time the game was done.
Then the kids all headed over to the playground....with their stuffed animals.
Missy picked up some fun fireworks for all the kids to enjoy.

It was a fun night....thank you Morse family!

Hanging by a thread....

We'll see how long this tooth will stay inside Adeline's mouth.  Right now she can push it all the way forward and all the way back.  Once she can twist it I don't think I'll leave the choice up to her...I'll just pull it out.  It makes me nervous about her actually swallowing it.

What's one more kid???

Today was a bit busier than other days.  I also watched Adeline's friend Chayse for the day.  It actually worked out much better because Adeline had someone to play with and wasn't trying to convince the boys to play house.
We all packed up and headed for the beach....
Thank you Bethany for the wrap it worked wonders.
Bryson and I hung out under the umbrella together except for the short time he slept and then I was able to play with the kids in the sun.
All four kids had a blast together playing in the sand, water, and finding some nice shells.
We came back in time for Heidi to pick up the boys and then Addy, Andrew, Chayse and I headed back to the beach.  Here, I was able to relax and enjoy the beach too.  It was a nice full day.

Beach day with my kids!!!

These are the most enjoyable days for me.  Just being with the kids on a nice day, playing in the sand, swimming in the water, eating lunch, snacks, laughing.

I do love days like these.....with these two special kids.

Happy Birthday James and Bethany

James got all dressed up for basketball with his brother.  They took a break so that we could all celebrate his and Bethany's birthday.  I think that it is so funny how Josh and I have birthday's two days apart and James and Bethany have birthdays three days apart.  It's must have been one of the prerequisites to marrying them.

Monsters University

I know Adeline and Andrew loved the show.  Both Brooke and Gabby fell asleep, but I think they liked what they saw.  I think all the adults also liked it.

Adeline and Andrew got their school id's.  Andrew's is pretty scary!!!!

Almost a full row

We went to go see Monster's University with the whole family.  We almost took up an entire row.  Gabby was asleep once we got there and slept through almost the entire movie.
Addy, Andrew, and Brooke were excited to go and sport their new cups.
That is one big bag of popcorn.  I think that bag cost $15 as opposed to a large popcorn for $6 with one refill.  We had a lot of popcorn lovers and this bag was the perfect fit.  And the leftover popcorn did not go to waste.
We're ready for the movie!!!!

A nice beach day

We had a surprisingly nice day at the beach.  The Bean family is up for the weekend to celebrate James and Bethany's birthdays.  We headed to the beach planning to only be there for a bit because it was cloudy and windy.  Within 30 minutes that changed to warm and sunny.  It turned out to be a beautiful day.
The kids were all enjoying themselves.
(I did ask Brooke to look at the camera and smile but this is all I got)
I know she was having fun with her cousins even though the picture doesn't show it.

All four in their own little world.
James took a shot of where we set up camp.
Andrew made it to Grandpa's lap as soon as he arrived.
Bethany and Erin took advantage of being able to just lay and relax.
Brooklynn hard at work in her cute hat.

Sleep and Play

While Bryson sleeps all the kids play.  I am thankful Bryson can sleep with a lot of noise....
Addy
Nick
Andrew
All three enjoying the water and not showing any signs of it being too cold.  It was 57 degrees but they didn't seem to mind.

First Beach Day

It's our first official beach day!  Today we brought Nick and Bryson with us.  I came with a new umbrella and the jogging stroller to keep sweet little Bryson out of the sun.  I love summer!!!!  I love packing a cooler for the day, enjoying the sun, watching and playing with the kids.  These days will be a little different when I have Bryson because he requires a bit of my attention but we make it work.  The kids love it and it gives them something different to do.

Backyard with my Babes

I love how just the other day they were in a big pool and today they are in our super tiny "baby" pool, and yet neither one complained.  That makes for a great time.  It was a little chilly at the beach (the temp always drops 5 degrees on our drive).  So we stayed in our back yard where the sun was shining and the wind was minimal.
I pulled over the garden sprinkler and let the kids run through it.  I didn't plant it by the slide on purpose but immediately the kids noticed and had a blast.
And I must confess I also aimed it at the trampoline.  Adeline and Andrew kept shouting (you may be able to hear it) "this is the best day ever" while they jumped.  No worries there were no injuries just two happy kids.

Pool Day At Cindy's New House

The kids and I went over to Cindy's house for the afternoon.  She and Dave bought this house just before they got married and I remember Cindy being excited about the pool.  It's a salt water pool so no need of chlorine smells and discoloration of the suits.
Adeline was immediately in heaven...
Andrew took just a little time but then was all about the water.
Adeline and her goggle buddy Lauren.
We had a very fun afternoon.  And then right after this we headed up to Grand Haven for the kids swim lessons.  Today was a full day of pools!

Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday Daddy!

These two little ones look up to you so much.  You are an amazing Father and I am honored to be by your side.

Inside to play a few arcade games....

He looks so big.
Adeline found the game that gave the most tokens.
Andrew wanted to shoot hoop.

With their tokens Adeline and Andrew chose the scary teeth.  Daddy also apparently got some too.
