It's not every weekend...

... that I get to see some of my BEST friends. This weekend I not only got to see Angela from Maryland but I also got to see Rebecca and Angel.

Angela came over for her sisters graduation and gave me a call. It just worked out that I was coming down to Olivet. Angela, her Dad, my Dad and I all went out to dinner and had a great time. She and I were both dressed in pink and our Dad's were dressed in brown, it was pretty funny. We spent a lot of time talking about our ten year class reunion coming up and the people we want to see (and a little about those we don't want to see). Grandma and Grandpa Bean took very good care of Adeline while I was out.

Rebecca just graduated from college and will be leaving for South Carolina in a couple of weeks to start her job as a twelfth grade English teacher. I am very proud of her. I will really miss her. She and I have always had this special connection I hope that I can go visit her sometime.

Angel got some special Adeline time. Actually we had to pull her from running around and she wasn't very happy until I turned the camera around so she could see herself. Then all was well with the world.
A great weekend with GREAT friends.

And then there were four....

James, Adeline and I had our first ultra-sound for Baby Bean #2. It was so nice to see a heart beat. The baby is measuring perfectly at 8 weeks showing a due date of February 2. Adeline did pretty good for the most part but she really wanted to sit on the table with Mommy.

I didn't call many people because like last time with Adeline many were hoping for twins. I almost felt like I would be letting them down. I was equally excited about having one or two, and either gender; the truth is I am just thankful to be pregnant again. I am thankful that God has allowed Doctors and science the ability to make it possible for couples like us.

Am I disappointed that we aren't having twins? No. Even though I felt like with all James and I have to go through to get pregnant it would be nice to have twins (because we would be done) and I wouldn't have to have any more crazy hormones going through my body, I knew that I couldn't handle it. It might be different if James worked at home or something but for the most part it would be me and the kids. And then there is Adeline. How would I be able to give her the attention she needed if I had two babies to take care of. It would be really hard.

Thank you for your prayers and please keep them coming. We are very happy over here at the Bean house and appreciate all of our family and friends who care so much about us.

Daddy's birthday surprise.....

...was a little bit different (no spiderman party) this year...but was still a lot of fun. Grandpa Bean had the idea to surprise Daddy by showing up at church for Daddy's birthday. I personally was very excited about this because that meant that I could see everyone again. Grandma and Grandpa Bean, Grandpa Forte, Uncle John and Candy, and Aunt Erin all came to surprise Daddy. We spent the day grilling out, taking naps:), going for a walk, playing, laughing, going to the beach, and just having fun together. Daddy was very happy.

One of the funniest parts to the day was on our walk. Grandma was admiring a plant in our neighbors yard, the neighbor noticed and dug some up for Grandma. She was very excited.

My first time holding a "real" baby...

Yesterday Jenn Menefee brought her new baby Quint over. Mommy wasn't so sure about me holding Quint but I told her I could do it and Jenn was on my side. See Mommy I am a big girl!

High five
That's right....Adeline received her first tickle from Nana. Nana thought that it was really funny how Adeline stopped moving completely. She loves to be rubbed.

Father's Day Afternoon Activites

On the actual Father's Day we went to church with James parents and then met my family for lunch.
Addy was pretty attached to John's girlfriend Candy
Uncle John stole her so that he could whisper sweet nothings in her ear

A very fun Saturday...

This morning when Adeline woke up she had something very special waiting for her downstairs. Uncle John came into town last night for a softball tournament and brought with him a beauty station and baby stroller Nana and Papa had gotten her. Uncle John was already gone when she woke up but as soon as she saw the beauty station she went CRAZY. It has nail polish, lip stick and a blow dryer and makes all the noises!!! She immediately sat down in the chair and started pushing buttons. It was hard enough changing her diaper I couldn't get any clothes on her:)

We spent the early afternoon watching Uncle John play softball. I remembered to bring Adeline her SPF 50 but forgot about myself. So as I am typing this I am realizing that my skin is quite red. Ouch! I hope it is gone tomorrow.
After a late nap Uncle John came back and we enjoyed the evening together. Adeline definitely likes spending time with her Uncle John. He got a lot of kisses.

Meeting Jinnae

Adeline and I were very excited to finally meet Jinnae Pulaski. She is a doll. So happy and full of energy. We had a wonderful time and are excited for next weeks visit.

An evening with Aunt Betsey..

Adeline was very excited when she woke up from her nap and saw that Aunt Betsey was here. Last weekend Aunt Erin (Enin) came to visit (I didn't take any pictures:() and now this weekend she got to see Aunt Betsey. She was very happy.
Unfortunately though for Aunt Betsey she was referred to as "Enin" most of the time. It was pretty funny. By the end of the night Adeline had made the distinction between the two and Aunt "Bed-sey" was herself again.
