Afternoon fun on the trampoline

After a very restful nap time we all went back outside and played before it was time for dinner.  I think it is hilarious that almost all of the pictures taken between Bethany and I are all on the trampoline.  It's no lie....this is where we were the whole time.

Goshen Beans come to visit

It's fun when your backyard seems like it's own outdoor playland.  The Goshen Bean's came up for the weekend.  How fun that we can do this?!  And we/the kids were outside pretty much the entire time.  All of these pictures are from Saturday morning.  It was a little chilly but that didn't stop the kids from having fun.  If they weren't on the trampoline, it was one of the power wheels, or the swing set.  The kids had many options.
I think Uncle Josh and Daddy had just as much fun on the trampoline as the kids did.  Nobody complained about sore necks....I was just waiting.

I love how Brooklynn is holding on to the suitcase while driving one handed.

JeepHummer

On Daddy's way home from work last week he found a Hummer Power wheels on the side of the road.  He put it in the back of his Grand Prix after the owner said that it was broken and it doesn't work.  Little does he know that James loves wires and within 2 hours he had reassembled the motor and it was up and running.  Following suit with Papa's 12 volt battery for the firetruck we borrowed another 12 volt battery from Daniel.  The kids call it their JeepHummer.  It took a couple of days for Andrew to build confidence but now he is a pro at driving both the firetruck and hummer.  (you won't see that on this video though)

Adeline's first soccer practice 2012

Adeline had her first informal soccer practice.  This was a time to meet each other and talk about the upcoming season.  Adeline is playing with one of her old friends Logan.  The last time they saw each other was around two years ago.  I have recently started running with Logan's mom Amorette which brought about putting them on the same team.
This was hard for Andrew to sit and watch while Sissy played.  Next year we will get him into a sport.  As you can tell by the video Andrew wanted to make sure that this wasn't all about Sissy.

Singing the Doxology

I wanted to get Adeline on video singing the Doxology.  She loves to sing this especially when listening to David Crowder.  The first video is by far my favorite.  It shows Adeline and Andrews true colors.  Now if I were a good mom I would have stopped the video and dealt with what was happening....but instead I just let it happen and laughed.  The best part is towards the beginning when Adeline is telling Andrew to listen to her very aggressively and then turns towards the camera and starts singing in a very sweet voice.

Both kids do a very god job!  I love the Doxology....I don't ever remember singing it as a child the first I remember it was when James was a youth pastor twelve years ago.

Take a moment to laugh with us....

When I went out with my girlfriends Friday night James took the kids to get a movie.  They came back with Wall-E (one of the free five day rentals).  On the disc is a short film called Presto.  If you watch this video you will see how much Adeline loved it.  Just watching her makes you laugh.  You can also find the short on YouTube so we have been watching it a lot.  And Adeline's reaction is the same every time.

The end of a fun day!

Thank you Sophie for inviting us and thank you Ryan and Angela for treating us to a wonderful day.
We love you.

Happy Birthday Sophie!

We celebrated with cupcakes after lunch.  They were very good.
Happy Birthday Sophie...the Bean family loves you very much!

Horses and Butterfly's...

This was fun for the kids with the big horse.

The butterfly exhibit was beautiful.
They even had an area that showed butterfly's coming right out of the cocoon and flying away.

All four kids....
...and then per her request just the birthday girl.

Taking a tour

We all rode a tram that took us around the garden's showing us all of the sculpture's from years past.
The girls all sat together.
I convinced Andrew to sit between Daddy and Ryan so that he wasn't on the open edge.
Check out this pretty birthday girl.
This horse looks like it is made out of Driftwood but it is actually made out of Bronze.  Pretty impressive.

And Andrew with his favorite lady....
