Great Great Grandpa's hat

Addy and Aunt Erin

Pool Party! The water was pretty cold so Aunt Erin only put her feet in. I am impressed that it didn't seem to bother Adeline.

Daddy's birthday/Father's Day

For James birthday this year we went down to Olivet and celebrated with our Father's since it was also Father's Day. We stayed over night and were able to relax. A lot happened to our family this week so it was nice to go back home and separate ourselves from things here.

Four month appointment

18.2 pounds and 27 inches long

It is so hard for me to believe that in just four months this little guy has grown seven inches and gained ten pounds. My arm goes numb rocking him to sleep and I can hardly lift the car seat into the Jeep. I think I need to start exercising and build some muscle.

My highlight of the appointment was when the Doctor was putting pressure on his tummy and checking all his joints. Because he is so ticklish he just laughed and laughed. It was really sweet, our Doctor loved it.

Great Aunt Polly

James and I have been together (dating and marriage...besides the 4 time he broke up with me:-)) for 12 years now. Each year including the first we have always gone to vacation in Sarasota, FL. For more than half of the those years Aunt Polly had lived next door to Grandpa and we would always stay with her. She would literally be in her chair the whole time watching movies, the home shopping network, and televised church services. Right next to her was a t.v tray with all of her meds, ash tray and cigarettes. In the early years she would go to work at night and come back in the morning and sleep all day in her chair. I have many good memories with Aunt Polly but my most cherished was once she had sold her house (big bummer) and moved to Illinois. James' parents, myself and Adeline all went to see her back in 2007. She really wanted to meet Adeline (especially since she was named after her late sister, Grandma Adeline). Adeline was walking then and was very interactive and I think it really meant a lot to Aunt Polly. I also am glad that Adeline had the chance to meet her.
In the last year Aunt Polly had sold her house and moved into a senior center. We periodically would call her and let Adeline(peanut) talk to her. James' parents have been great stewards of the Lord taking care of her finances, helping her move out of her house and staying very connected.
Aunt Polly passed away last week. She was 80 years old. James and Adeline drove to Illinois (16 hour round trip)(Andrew and I stayed home, too much for the little guy) and went to her funeral this past weekend. And like her nephew Fred Bean said "she is now breathing heavenly air" and is reunited with her husband Charlie and sister Adeline.

Motor Boat

Getting Bigger...

So we think the bouncie seat is about to retire. It looks fine when it is sitting by itself with no one in it, but once Andrew sits in it, it almost touches the floor.

Vacuuming with Daddy...

Adeline is all about helping.
She loved being able to help Daddy clean out his Grand Prix and having her own vacuum.
She didn't like it when Daddy's vacuum tried to attack her.

Off to the park...

...and later for ice cream!!! Yesterday Adeline and I worked very hard cleaning the house and doing the laundry that we were inside for most of the day until Daddy came home. (side note: Adeline loves to help me do anything..especially clean, she is a good helper) Today we made sure to go to the park and play for a couple hours and then later took a fun walk and ended with ice cream. I found this baby carrier in some of my old doll clothes and Adeline loves it. So tonight we both had our babies in their "moobys" (mobys). Here Adeline is biting her baby's hand. The baby didn't seem to mind she didn't even cry:-)

Nana and Papa visit

Adeline was very excited when she woke up from her nap and I told her Nana and Papa were downstairs. Nana came baring gifts as usual and one was a Woody character from Toy Story (whom Adeline slept with during her nap today). Nana and Papa did a great job getting Andrew to giggle. He liked all of the extra attention.

Andrew eating first foods...

So I wanted to post this video to show how calm and collect Andrew is when he eats. This is from his first night trying solid food. Unfortunately my hand is in the way of his mouth but he really seems to like it. I chose this part of the video because I wanted to show Adeline feeding her babies. You can hear her in the background talking to her babies the whole time. She is going to be a great Mommy when she grows up.

Great Grandpa Bean visits

Great Grandpa Bean and Great Great Uncle Bill came to visit Adeline and meet Andrew. As soon as they showed up Adeline started entertaining and didn't stop until she went to bed. I was very impressed at how quickly she warmed up to both of them. This first picture is taken about two minutes after they arrived. Andrew was his laid back self who was mostly interested in sucking his hand.
Grandpa and Grandma Kay also came up later with a special surprise visitor. It was a great night.

Four Generations

Grandpa Bean came all the way from Texas to meet Andrew. (and of course see Adeline) High on the agenda was to take some four generation shots of the Bean men. Andrew was of course his normal mellow self.
