I can do it, I can do it.

I was so thankful that Grandma Bean was there to help break me in on my first day watching the Morse kids. I will be watching the Morse kids once a week throughout the school year. I really am more excited than scared about this because it allows a fun play day each week for the kids. I think my only real challenge will be the little ones (Andrew and Eli), and picking up the kids from school. (SO thankful for the van!)

Basement fun!

We can't thank Grandma enough for all of the time she has spent up here helping me with the kids. Not only did she stay for ten days after my surgery but she came back this week to stay for four more days. Words can not express the love and gratitude I have for this woman and her generosity. She is a gift from God.
Adeline was all about her Barbies and of course Andrew was all about knocking down the blocks as soon as I built them up.

Andrew swings like a big boy

Andrew now enjoys (although he doesn't really look like it) swinging on his own swing next to Sissy. He is definitely concentrating, but when you try to take him down he holds on tighter and won't let go. We know he enjoys it, he is just very focused. He was able to show Grandma and Grandpa Bean his new talent before bed.

It was a couple of weeks ago when I was talking to my sister and I watched Andrew run up and swing on his belly. He has watched Addy do it many times. This video does not do it justice but it is the best I have gotten.

Our evening festivities...

Rarely do I see Andrew and Eli actually playing together but tonight they were having so much fun in their little house.

The videos are adorable. Unfortunately you do see some of Andrews bully side.

Andrew with all the girls...not too tight Addy.
Cheese!
Ice Cream Cone....YUM!

What a big boy!
Addy and Anna enjoying their ice cream.

Possibly our last beach day :-(

I am not sure if this will officially be our last beach day but I wanted to take advantage of the weather and James having the day off. The waves were pretty fierce so we went up to Duck lake where the kids could swim in the channel.
No matter how many time Eli was sat back up he continued to lay back down and drink the water.

I think Phil and Missy had juice for him but I guess he preferred this.
Daddy and his son walking back from the big waves
Andrew was getting fussy so James tried to calm him down in the tent
Missy and I laid in the son and let the guys take care of the kids
The kids were having so much fun running from the big alligator. Looks like Adeline is getting attacked.

Kisses from my kids

Now, when Andrew sees you kissing someone besides himself he will run up to you and beg for a kiss. Sometimes I do it on purpose just so that he will ask :-) Today while we were having lunch with Daddy Adeline was the one who wanted to have her own kiss once she saw me kissing Andrew. I hope my kids will still want to kiss me when they get older, but for now I will soak up all I can get.

Brushing Buddies

The kids love to brush their teeth (which I see as a good thing). They use my shower chair as a stool and brush a couple times a day. I love how Andrew spits like his big sissy. I am not sure how clean he gets his teeth but Addy does a really god job on hers.

The completed sand box

With the help of Phil and his Dad (who has a truck), we were finally able to fill our sand box. This has been on James' "to-do" list for a long time and I know he feels good having it all done. Nice living so close to the beach....many of the houses have "free sand" signs in their front yards...it's very easy to take advantage of it.

Basketball hoop!

So last night after Michael's birthday party we stopped at Grandpa Beans office because Grandma had found something special on the side of the road. Andrew went crazy! Grandma has a great eye...this is the second thing she has found at the end of someones drive way ready to be thrown away the first was Addy's kitchen set.

Andrew was very distraught when we had to pack up the hoop and leave.
Addy got some stickers from the "Dr. visit" and decided to stick them all on her face. What a silly girl.

Cousins who play together

These little ones and their relationships make our time together so much more enjoyable.

Michael 5th birthday party pt. 3

So Addy and Michael built some toy guns that they were shooting at Papa and chasing him around.

Then as you can see in the left corner Aunt Aleisha decided to get a water gun out and shoot the kids.
Andrew just stood there and let her shoot him. He was like "what are you doing?".
Aunt Aleisha gave Addy the gun to defend herself against Papa. What Addy didn't realize was that Papa had a full water bottle that he poured all over her......and so the water fight began.
Adeline told me that next time this happens she and Michael will quickly change into their swimsuits so that their clothes don't get wet.
Adeline was soaked
Papa made it to the hose to fill up his water bottle but then decided to just spray them if they got too close.
Then Papa attached the hose to the sprinkler and Andrew decided to join in.
I love how Addy still has her gun. She kept sticking it in the sprayer to try and fill it up.

Then as if the kids weren't already soaked enough Papa decided to stick them right into the sprinkler...first Michael the birthday boy.
Then Addy
Brianna almost got wet but managed to get away
And of course Andrew was begging to be put in

Enjoy the videos....the kids had such a great time.
