Kindergarten Open house

Tonight as soon as James got home from work we all headed out to Adeline's new school. Lincoln Park Elementary is literally right behind our house. So we took a nice family walk to the school.
If you look closely you can see that we are not the only family walking over.
Daddy with his kids, holding hands as we approach the school.
I look forward to having year by year shots of these two as they grow.
Big sister Adeline with little brother Andrew.
Our soon to be kindergartner
Adeline's name tag was already on her table.
She was welcomed with a certificate and new book....."The night before Kindergarten".

Andrew found the Mr. Potato Heads and was in Heaven.
Adeline with her new teacher Mrs. Coffin.
I know Mrs. Coffin from my Norton Pines (gym) days, so that makes my transition a little bit easier.
I'm a proud Mommy..and soon to be sad Mommy.
We visited the library where Adeline was so excited about the thought that this is "her" very own library. Different from the one we drive to.
Afterwards we enjoyed some free ice cream.
Six more days....

Very few beach days left

I'm going to miss days like this...
With two of the three greatest blessings the Lord has given me.

Wait up Andrew....time to get the floaties on.
Adeline has become such a fish. Here she is showing more of her new summer talent.

One of our best purchases this summer were Adeline's goggles.

Baby boy splashing in the water.
When all three of us are in the water Andrew will count 3, 2, 1 go! And we all go under water (actually Adeline and I, Andrew just pretends). I'm going to miss these days....

We were hungry but the kids wanted to play more...

It was already 1:00 pm and we (Angela and I) were hungry. But the kids wanted to check out the inside play room.
This room was great!
Get down Andrew...
He just loved this....it was perfect for him.

Alright everybody....enough play, it's time for lunch.
Thank you Corbin's for another fun day!

The Cabin

Silly boy!
I remember at the zoo Andrew had a fear of the eggs there but here he was all about them.

Tea and ice cream....

Inside the cabin
Andrew playing with the toys

Adeline pretending to be a dog or cat or something.
Riding the log take one....
take two....
take three....
Yee-ha!

Boat launch.....

We spent the most time here. There were all different levels the kids could play with their boats.
Each kid just went their own way playing with their boats and getting soaked.
Sophie tackled eating a cheese stick and pushing her boat.
Brother and sister, side by side.
Sweet Maya
Adeline and Maya....girlfriends
Andrew had so much fun. It was very hard for him to understand that he couldn't play "in" the pool.
Andrew's efforts of getting soaked paid off. For the rest of the day he was showing everyone his muscles.

Meijer Garden's with the Corbin's

Angela, Maya, and Sophie treated Adeline, Andrew and I to a day at Meijer Garden's. We met early in the morning and headed out. The kids enjoyed the car ride while watching a new Leap Frog. Andrew and Sophie got to ride in the stroller.
And the two big girls walked around.
Listening to a very interesting exhibit about about different seeds and what they grow.
Take one for a picture....
Take two...
....and take three
