A day of volunteering

This is my day.  My day with my kiddo's in their classes.  I had to wait until my background was processed until I could get into the school.  I have my surgery scheduled for Tuesday and I wanted to at least get in one day with the kids.  After many tough days on crutches this was just a wonderful day.  I was out of the house, with my kids, with other kids, caring for others.  It was a good day.

Making Andrew's Class A Snack

Once a month I bring in a snack for Andrew's class.  Tonight Andrew and I are making fun wormy jello snacks.  He was such a good helper mixing the jello, placing the worms, and pouring the jello.

Three different jello colors, three different worms...all ready to go.  I hope they like it!!!!

And we have a piano.....

I have been wanting a piano for a long time.  The obstacle....convincing James of the same.  Our living room is quite limited with space and it is set up for complete surround sound :-)  So I saw a post from a friend in my bible study about a free piano...the only thing was that we had to get it out of her basement.  I went and saw it, measured it, and then went to convince James I wanted it.  And....here we are.  I had wonderful, generous friends devote their night to lifting this heavy piano and transferring it into our house.  I love it!  We rearranged the living room and it fits perfect.

Andrew's Fourth Fall Soccer Game

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Andrew with his fans.  Grandpa and Grandma Bean came up along with Grandpa Forte.  My poor buddy Andrew (along with the rest of his team) was asleep out on the field and were completely dominated.  It was kind of a sad game.  It was cold and rainy and I am on crutches.....that's my excuse for forgetting to take the pictures.

But....a big thank you to Grandpa Forte, Grandpa Bean, and Grandma Bean for coming up to cheer Andrew on.  I know it meant a lot to him.
