The kids stood in line and were able to pet many different animals from chicks to sheep and goats.
Afterwards they got to do a walk through and see all the other animals. Including a pig which Adeline loved seeing. Since her class is now reading Charlotte's Web.
I was so excited to be with Adeline for her field trip. As soon as I found out I got a babysitter set up (it was a month and a half before). Parents could not ride the bus :( I just headed out on my own and made it just in time.
First stop was to do some fishing.
I brought Adeline's sunglasses...she looks so cute.
I'm so happy to be with my sweetie...
The kids are given some instructions before feeding the animals.
Adeline did not want to feed the goats so she threw seed over their heads to feed the ducks.
This goat was hilarious. When you ask a child what sound a sheep makes they say "baa", and this sheep REALLY says "baa".
This is Adeline's last game to decided placing in the tournament final on Saturday. So far our tam has won every game. Tonight we played very well and ended up with a tie. To decide who plays in the final is based on wins and then on number of goals. We will be playing Saturday morning for the 3rd-4th place. Boo, I wish we would have won. Now we have to play the team we beat last week but they are very good. I'm too competitive I know....and she's only six :)
My Girl...improving so much every season. I am so proud of her!
For Christmas the Bean kids all went in on a joint gift and got Grandma and Grandpa Bean dance lessons. I stole this picture from Grandma Bean :) It sounds like they are having a lot of fun together. We are all glad they are enjoying it.
We had one more stop to visit Nana and Papa. The kids were really looking forward to this. Adeline snuggled right up to Nana for most of the time.
Nana of course had some toys for the kids. In it were some doll shoes for Addy and a hair band. For Andrew there was this cool Star Wars pajama's. He disappeared for awhile and I had just said to James that he must be going #2 but as soon as I said that our little guy came running out of the bathroom shouting "check me out" and doing a dance. He was so happy with his pj's that he went right into the bathroom and put them on. So funny.
Papa also had a box of toys that he let each kids pick out one thing. Adeline chose a Star Wars ship and Andrew chose two robot men.
Thanks for letting us come and visit Nana and Papa. It was a great end to a great weekend!!!
We stopped in Charlotte first to spend some time with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Forte. Grandpa Forte also came over and so did Uncle John. We spent a nice couple of hours talking and catching up.
Me and my Grandparents.....I love them so much
The kids got a picture with Grandpa Forte before we left.
We'll take any visit even if it's a short visit. Thank you Aunt Betsey for coming back. These two little ones really appreciated it.
Big hugs that have to last a long time.....We love you Aunt Betsey.
On the way home from dropping off Aunt Betsey we stopped by and saw Aleisha, Morris, Michael and Aliyah. We only spent five minutes giving hugs but it sure was nice seeing all of them.
We all made it up and showered and headed out to church for the morning. I think if it was up the Adeline and Andrew they would want to ride with their two Aunts every time in the van.
After church we took a nice walk down to Tim's Pizza for some ice cream
Look how much ice cream they got for so cheap. This was their kiddie bowl.
Too bad Frosty O's isn't as cheap...we would definitely be eating there every day in the summer.
