Wednesday

Most mornings while James was packing the van Andrew would want to be in the back playing or he would make it to the front and pretend to drive. Anything to prolong getting suntan lotion put on.

Missy and Anna sunbathing. This was their first official day on Siesta Key Beach.
Andrew had the same habit last year that I was surprised was quickly picked up again this year. As soon as we set our stuff down on the beach and claim our spot Andrew goes right to the cooler and opens it up looking for food. He broke our styrofoam cooler on the first day. It always took Eli some time to adjust to the beach so a snack was just what these two boys needed.

The kids went immediately into the water. No hesitation.

Andrew of course eating more snacks in Daddy's lap. I was proud of James, he went to the beach without complaining (except one day), put on the appropriate sunscreen, and didn't burn.

Addy Kay playing in the sand. Each day the girls would make Missy and I whatever type of pie we wanted. Apple pie, blueberry pie, strawberry pie (except one day they were out of strawberries)....the funny thing was that they all tasted the same...like sand. But they sure had fun baking.

Missy made Andrew very happy by filling a bucket with sand, flipping it over and letting him knock it down. He absolutely loved it.

Getting ready....

and boom...

"alright Missy I'm ready for you to do it again"

This group of high school boys were walking along the beach in speedo's. Missy went and asked if we could get a picture with them. They were taking count of how many pictures they had already taken. Later on Missy asked me not to post the picture (even though I think she looks great). I asked if I put a box over her body if it would be ok to still post and she said yes.

Andrew loved being right next to his Daddy.
