We left at 6:30 in the evening with two excited kids. The GPS said that it would take 19 hours (without stops), we were planning on 24-26 hours with two little ones.
The kids slept straight through the night and didn't wake until 7:30 when we stopped at the Waffle House. This was one of James' traditions that he wanted to bring into our family. We didn't stop at 4 in the morning like he used to but waited until morning. The kids loved it. We also let them play outside for awhile to burn off some energy.
We stopped at the Florida welcome center and let Adeline try her first cup of grape fruit juice. She said "yuck!" and asked for some orange juice. Four more hour and we would be in Sarasota.
We made it in 21 1/2 hours. A pretty smooth trip. We were very impressed with our kids....they did great.
