We left at noon on Friday, traveled to South Bend to pick up Aunt Erin, and then finished our trip to Des Moines, Iowa. We arrived around 10:30 our time, 9:30 their time. As we entered our room we were greeted with this thoughtful basket and a very heartfelt letter from Aunt Betsey. I couldn't even make it through without crying. This weekend is going to be fun but the end is going to be sad. We have to say good-bye to Aunt Betsey as she moves to Washington for five years. We've been so used to seeing her, and even living with her that it is going to be a hard adjustment. Harder for her...to be completely on her own, away from everyone. She will definitely be busy with 80 hour work weeks, but we have committed to find time to skype whenever we can to keep connected.
Aunt Betsey packed the basket with all of our favorite things. She knows what we like......Addy even got her favorite bubble gum. Thank you Aunt Betsey, we love you.
