The short beach

Last year we didn't make it to the beach as much as I would have liked. With Andrew only four months and nursing the thought of feeding him on the beach with the sand and sun just didn't excite me. So if we did have a beach day it was only for a short time in between his feedings. This year being all done nursing and having a toddler we are out every day, all day. It has been so much fun.

We went to what is called the short beach. It is a portion of Marquette beach but is close to parking and the water. The nice thing is that once you park your car you just step down the ledge and you are instantly on the beach. The ledge also prevents any little Andrew's from going into the road.

We dug a big hole, built sand castles, ate lunch, kicked balls, did somersaults, made mud pies, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. This is the first of many days to come.
