One school, one book. Lincoln Park Elementary is reading together "The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane" by Kate DiCamillo. Each night the students are asked to read/listen to one chapter. Mr. McLoed the schools principal sends out a recording asking us two to three questions that go with the currant chapter. So far this book has been a lot of fun. Addy and I cuddle up on the couch or in bed and read what each chapter holds. The difficulty for Adeline is to only read one chapter. Many nights I have reread the chapter or read the precious one also. If there are words she doesn't know (because the reading level is 4.5) we look up the definition in the dictionary.
Each night someone gets to take home a "stuffed" Edward (because the real Edward is made of China) and write about their adventures in the classroom notebook. Adeline got her name drawn first. She was so excited.
