A day at the park...

Andrew and I got to the park about 15 minutes before Adeline's class did.  We played at the park while we waited.  And then we saw a long line of kids, both kindergarten classes were making their way to the park.
As soon as Adeline saw us she came running.  I love how Adeline jumped right in with her brother feeling so special that he was there and that he was her brother.

Adeline and her friend CiCi
The tire swing was a popular spot.  There was a line up of kids that another mom and I pushed.

Andrew was swinging with the ladies.

The class took a break for a snack and drink.
Adeline so kindly shared her drink with her brother who guzzled it down.

Off to Duck Lake

Adeline fell in love with Brooklynn's mermaid tail that Aunt Bethany made.  She sat just like this for quite awhile.  And then she would slowly swim/drag herself through the water.
The kids played very well together.
We had a fun afternoon.
Here they are Grandma and Grandpa Bean....your four grandchildren.
Andrew 3, Adeline5, Brooklynn 3, and Gabby 1.

Exceptional Enthusiasm

After the big game Adeline's coaches put on a little party.  Their coach had gotten them all trophies not knowing that the league also provided trophies.  So all of the kids went home with two.
Adeline received her two trophies, a Green Gator's shirt, and an award for having exceptional enthusiasm.
We are very proud of Adeline for completing her second season of soccer.  But even more proud that her award was for being so happy and kind.

Special guests for Adeline's last game

Adeline had a big fan sitting on the sideline cheering for her.
Uncle Josh, Aunt Bethany, Brooklynn and Gabby all drove up from Goshen last night to come to Adeline's very early game.  Adeline loves having a crowd of fans cheering her on.  Thank you for driving so far for such an early game.
Addy and Brooke share a special bond.

Adeline's Soccer Video's

Here are two video's from Addy's last soccer game.  On the video below you can see her asking about how many times she had kicked the ball.  She asked this because her friend Logan on the team was told during the past game that if she kicked the ball five times she would get a new barbie.  Adeline thought that we should do the same so she was counting each time she kicked the ball.  She did kick the ball five times during this game and as a reward she got a piece of candy :)

Adeline's Last Soccer Game 2012

This season seemed a lot shorter due to us being gone for two games while on vacation.  This was the earliest game of all starting at 9 am.  Adeline's team decided at practice that they were going to be called the "Green Gators".  I tried to get individual shots of most of the kids on Addy's team.
Here we have Adeline warming up

A long climb up a serious dune.

Adeline's whole class followed Mrs. Coffin all the way to the top of this enormous dune.  I was impressed that all of the kids made it to the top.

I'm sure the climb back wasn't as exciting.

All of the kids did make it back and they were ready for a drink.

Adeline's Field Trip to Hoffmaster State Park

I am so thankful for Angela who watched Andrew for me so that I could go to Adeline's field trip with her.  It also makes it easy when Andrew is more excited about going over to Maya and Sophie's house than missing the field trip with Sissy and Mommy.
I sat with Adeline and Olivia on the ride there....on the school bus.
Right away we met our guide who gave a few instructions and then we were on our way.
We hiked all the way to the beach where we learned about the make-up of sand.

A very cool fact that I was unaware of was that there are magnetic pieces in the sand.  On the video below you see some that we pulled up and some fun things we could do with it.

I love walking hand and hand with my girl.
On our hike back we learned about birds and owls and squires and other animals that you might see along the trail.  Below you see Adeline showing no fear touching/petting a rattle snake.  I don't think I would even touch one now.

Outside with her friends Jessica and Dacayla having a snack
So happy that I get to share in these moments.

Adeline's Soccer Game June 2, 2012

As I have been watching all of the different videos I took of Adeline's game I am noticing one main theme....me saying "get in there Adeline!" or James saying "run to the ball Adeline".  Throughout the season I would say that Adeline has gotten a bit more aggressive but as she puts it "the kids are just faster".  I do know as I think I have said before that if she were playing with her brother or someone she knows she is better than you see her aggressiveness.
What I do love it that even though Adeline recognizes she is not as aggressive (fast) as the other kids she is still smiling having a great time.  I love that!  I love that!  I love that!

Run For Wings 5k

Our lifegroup minus Heidi (because she is pregnant) and minus James (just because) all ran the Run for Wings 5k.  Every one was very happy with their times and accomplishments.  For many this was their first race ever and for me this was my first 5k ever.  I was happy because I wanted to do under an 8:00 minute pace and I just pulled it off with a 7:57 minute pace.  My final time was 24:44 for 3.1 miles.

Andrew was up the whole night coughing which did not make him a very happy camper for the early morning race.  He ended up taking a 7 hour nap that afternoon and when he woke up he was all smiles.
I don't know why Pooh was there but he was.  Adeline loves Pooh but Andrew kept asking where Tigger was.
