I think these videos speak for themselves. Unfortunately since the kids wanted to do the bumper boats we only had one race. And in Adeline and my defense our car was behind them at the starting line. We had no chance :)

Adeline and Andrew Race....
Thankfully this year Andrew could actually touch the pedal. But barely. Because of that Adeline would soar by Andrew. Surprisingly Andrew didn't have a bad attitude about it. He drove slow and very cautiously. I think next year will be a bit different....I can only imagine.
Bumper Boats
So this would not have been Daddy's first choice to do with the kids because he is way too big to fit in the boat. But....they really wanted to. So James rode with Andrew and I rode with Adeline. And when we got out we (Adeline and I) were completely soaked! It was fun.
Mommy and Daddy in the batting cages....
And of course we had to have Daddy have his very own time in the cage. We let him have a few times actually. And two little kids were proudly cheering him on.
I also got in the cage.
And although my form looks terrible I did hit every ball (well except one).

Andrew's helmet was a little bit big so it was hard for him to even see the ball. But he and Dad were able to hit almost every ball. Andrew loved it.
Mini-Golf with Daddy
For Father's Day/James birthday later this week, the kids and I took him to Craigs Cruisers for the day!!! We started off with Mini-golf and the kids had a blast!
Daddy helped both kids with their swing. (we have to figure if Andrew swing left handed or right handed)
After awhile Adeline decided she could putt herself...she did a good job.
We're at the top!
Today is going to be a fun day!!!
Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!
I think for summertime any picture that is taken in the morning will have large black boxes around my children because they both sleep in their underwear. They do have air conditioning in their rooms but for some reason they still like to sleep this way. Anyways.....Happy Father's Day James!! The kids and I made donuts and brought them up so that we could all eat together in bed. Our bed was covered in powdered sugar when we were done eating.
After church we headed to Fazolli's for lunch. The kids were very excited to get sprite with their meal.

Mommy and Daddy Sleepover
We promised the kids that we would each have a sleepover. Daddy slept with Andrew on his trundle.
Daddy looks so big.
I slept with Adeline on her bottom bunk. Apparently I felt like I needed to pose for this picture.
In the morning I got to sleep in until 9 (when Adeline woke up) and Daddy got to sleep in until 7 (when Andrew woke up).
First Day of Summer Break
Hooray for Summer!!! Today we met our friends at the park for lunch and fun. Adeline has been missing her friend Maya and was so happy to see her and Sophie today. Tonight Adeline will be going over to Maya's for a sleepover so after our park date they will be able to see each other again!!!!

Kelly (Ryan's sister) also joined us with her two little ones.

Adeline's First Sleepover
Adeline had her first sleepover with her new bunk beds with her favorite brother!!!! They were both pretty excited about this. We'll see if they actually get any sleep :)
Celebration Lunch
I don't know when the last time was for Adeline to have lunch with Daddy. So why not let today be the first of many this summer. Today we had lunch at subway and celebrated Adeline completing first grade. Adeline with her very proud Daddy.
And silly Andrew...never a dull moment.
And me and my girl! I'm trying hard to enjoy all of these special moments.
Special bonus at lunch today the kids each got a Monsters University backpack with their meal. The movie comes out on James' birthday and we are all going to see it!!!!
Adeline's Last Day of First Grade
Don't even ask me how many times I cried today. This little lady has grown so much in one year. I remember being concerned at how she wrote her "s", and how she didn't really want to read but just wanted to be read to. I remember being concerned about her going to school all day and wanting to walk her into her classroom everyday.
Now she has beautiful penmanship, reads at a 3rd grade reading level, makes it through the day, and walks into the school all by herself. She is ranked above average in all levels tested in first grade academically.
I am very proud of Adeline Kay and all of her accomplishments this year. I am proud to be her Mommy.
I guess technically if you say we now have a 2nd grader in the house you can also say we now have a preschooler in the house too. That's just crazy!!!!
