Happy Father's Day Daddy!

We left Goshen last night and came back to Olivet to stay.  It was weird because Grandma and Grandpa stayed in Goshen so we were all by ourselves.
The kids woke up early, and we let Daddy sleep in.  We made him breakfast, grabbed our cards that we made earlier in the week and came to gently wake him up.
The kids made their own cards and listed things about Daddy that they loved.
Some things included:
He plays with me
He tickles me
He loves me
He hugs me
He wrestles me
and one from Andrew not Adeline was....He spanks me (no joke)

Happy Birthday Time

Two cakes, yum!
Grandma made the top cake (delicious), and Erin made the bottom cake (James favorite).

Happy Birthday to the summer birthdays!  James 35, Bethany 34, and Adeline soon to be 6.
Don't they look like a cute little family :) (inside joke)

Andrew needed his Uncle Josh time...before we had to go.

Goshen Splash Pad

After Gabby woke up from her nap we all drove to their local splash pad.  Adeline instantly jumped in and Brooke followed.  Andrew needed a little nudging but then stayed the entire time.  I love this photo below with Adeline's arm around her brother.

Adeline was all about his bucket of water that would fill up and then tip over dumping water all over you.  Brooke was her cute little sidekick.

To help encourage Andrew I ran through the sprayers with him.
Gabby's hand on my knee.
Look at her cute little body.
She has one of Andrew's crocks on and the other in her hand.
I just love this picture.
Every five or so minutes the water would stop coming out.  You would have to push this button located at the top of this small pole to start the water back up.  This is where Andrew stayed most of the time, pushing down the button.

A Goshen Visit

Like Josh and I who have birthdays two days apart in February, James and Bethany birthdays are four days apart in June.  So for Father's Day and the birthdays we all got together to celebrate in Goshen.  It was a hot day but the trees provided nice shade, a sprinkler offered relief for me (who sweats just sitting), and a pool was perfect for the kids to play in.  The kids and I did have fun running through the sprinkler many times.
Aunt Bethany had some specific toys for outdoor fun that the kids really enjoyed.  And not only that she went all out getting everyone their favorite drinks and even Adeline and Andrew got fun Angry Birds gummies.

Grandpa didn't seem to mind the little wet bodies climbing in his lap.
Aunt Erin showed up and was instantly greeted by four eager kids.

Let's kick off summer at the beach!

We met our friends the Kamps at the gym and then all went to Duck Lake.
We spent a good couple of hours enjoying the water and sun.
Adeline eating her lunch...
Lauren having a sandwich...
Andrew enjoying a frozen yogurt...
Carter diving into the zucchini brownies....
Always fun when Andrew has a friend to play with too.

Last day lunch

For lunch we went and celebrated with Daddy.  I was watching my friend Amorette's kids Logan and Lincoln for the day so they both came along also.
It's so hard to believe that she really is all done with kindergarten....and that next year will be first grade.  We are very proud of Adeline and how much she has grown this year.  She is a smart, friendly little girl....who could ask for more.

Logan doesn't seem too happy during Adeline's interview....I think she was sleepy.
We had a fun day celebrating with our friends.  Congratulations Adeline!  Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!

Adeline's last day of school

For Adeline's last day of school the class celebrated with a "beach" day.
Adeline went to school in the morning instead of the afternoon today so she got to see Daddy.

I was able to get a picture of Adeline with Mrs. Coffin before school started.

And a stop for ice cream

Andrew and I headed out before the classes so that he could get his ice cream and not have to wait.
Every one in Adeline's class got ice cream cones for dessert.
That morning Adeline said that she wanted three pony tails in her hair.  This is how I decided to fulfill her request.
Me and my chocolate face girl.

Tarp fun

Adeline's class went to an open spot at the park to have some tarp fun.  I remember doing this when I was young.  The kids just loved this.

I thought that it was great when I started to record Adeline's name was called.

A day at the park...

Andrew and I got to the park about 15 minutes before Adeline's class did.  We played at the park while we waited.  And then we saw a long line of kids, both kindergarten classes were making their way to the park.
As soon as Adeline saw us she came running.  I love how Adeline jumped right in with her brother feeling so special that he was there and that he was her brother.

Adeline and her friend CiCi
The tire swing was a popular spot.  There was a line up of kids that another mom and I pushed.

Andrew was swinging with the ladies.

The class took a break for a snack and drink.
Adeline so kindly shared her drink with her brother who guzzled it down.

Off to Duck Lake

Adeline fell in love with Brooklynn's mermaid tail that Aunt Bethany made.  She sat just like this for quite awhile.  And then she would slowly swim/drag herself through the water.
The kids played very well together.
We had a fun afternoon.
Here they are Grandma and Grandpa Bean....your four grandchildren.
Andrew 3, Adeline5, Brooklynn 3, and Gabby 1.

Exceptional Enthusiasm

After the big game Adeline's coaches put on a little party.  Their coach had gotten them all trophies not knowing that the league also provided trophies.  So all of the kids went home with two.
Adeline received her two trophies, a Green Gator's shirt, and an award for having exceptional enthusiasm.
We are very proud of Adeline for completing her second season of soccer.  But even more proud that her award was for being so happy and kind.
