Train Table set-ups...

James has spent way too much time on this table. But I think he has finally perfected it. Above is the first set-up and below is the finished product.

Adeline's Valentines Party

I was afraid that Andrew and I were not going to be able to make it to Adeline's Valentine's party. Andrew wasn't feeling well the day before so James took Addy in and if Andrew was feeling better when he woke up we would come but if not we would have to miss it. Adeline said a prayer that morning that he was feeling better so that we could come. James didn't have to go into work until later so he stayed with Addy for about 30 minutes and went around with her handing out all of her Valentines. Nana supplied us with very fun Tinkerbell Valentines that came with a sucker. James said that Adeline was so proud going around putting them into her friends boxes.
Addy's prayer was answered and Andrew and I showed up right while they were having recess.
Adeline was so excited when she saw us come in and immediately grabbed a hula-hoop and scooters. I love how they both have their sunglasses on. Adeline is wearing her pretty dress from Nana and also has Natalia with her in the same dress.
The teachers put together a plate for Andrew and got him a seat before we even got to the room. I REALLY appreciate how kind they are to younger siblings.
Valentine's cookies and marshmallows...yum.
A shot of the cute Corbin sisters wearing matching outfits.

Time to open up all of your Valentines.
Adeline was very generous in sharing her candy with her brother who was just digging into her box.
Two fruit snack pouches, tootsie rolls, and suckers later I got a picture of my sugarhigh kids.

A Visit With JoAnn

Over the years we have come to see JoAnn as part of our family. JoAnn came up Saturday evening bearing snacks and gifts. Very sweet and unnecessary. JoAnn is amazing with kids and especially loves on my kids which makes me love her more.
Betsey and JoAnn made our Superbowl dinner (which gave me a night off) and the kids enjoyed playing on JoAnn's IPAD.
Thanks JoAnn for coming to visit we love seeing you. We'll have to figure out someway to see you when Betsey is in Washington for five years.

Let's pull out the shades....

Adeline and Andrew pulled out their shades and decided it was too bright in the house. Basically Adeline wanted to wear her sunglasses and Andrew wanted to be just like her.
A pretty cool dude!
So we are all a fan of the "skinny" jeans outfit Andrew got for his birthday from the Corbins and Rudds. And with his new Cars light up shoes from Aunt Aleisha he looked like a stud for church.

Mommy and Daddy's pictures with the brithday boy

Andrew got the cutest Thomas The Train jacket from Nana and Papa and he would not take it off. It was perfect for the day and for the unveiling of the table.

Presents and the Table Unveiling

There was something different about this present opening time. For all of Adeline's parties we have been outside and I haven't really noticed the swarm of kids around me. But this party inside our not so big house I definitely felt all of the kids around. It was hard for Andrew to even open his own gift with out another kid (most times his big sister) tearing at the paper. I felt a little overwhelmed. But the presents were opened and Andrew loved them all.

The drill was a big hit. I love having all of the boy toys around.

A fun race car mat that Andrew wants to play with every day.

Happy Birthday Andrew your very own Train Table. This will make the next few winter months easier to be stuck inside.

The true birthday cake celebration

Andrew struggled to go down for his nap (too much excitement with visitors), so we let him sleep through the beginning of his party until everyone was there. If he looks a little sleepy, he is. It took awhile for him to realize that everyone was there for him.
He was so shy while we were singing...caught up in the moment.

Blowing out his candles...so cute. (once again, once I figure how to get the video off our camera I will post it)
After Andrew told me he wanted the "R" cupcake, he devoured it. And for the bragging Mom Andrew knows ten of his letters by sight and can say what it is. (even though he doesn't have many words)
Yum, yum.
He did get more than just one cupcake
Why not...he's two right?
One happy boy!
"Ummmm, more please"
