Happy 6th Birthday Andrew!

Sometimes the smile on their face is all you need.  I love watching Andrew enjoy himself.  I also love watching him when he recognizes that everyone is there for him.  He's a pretty special boy!  I'm so thankful for him.

Adeline saves the day!!!

Andrew saves the day!!!

James came up with this cute obstacle course for all of the kids to rescue their parents.  If a parent wasn't there we had very kind fill in's.  Andrew got to go first being the birthday boy....he first went through the course, defeated Darth Vader and then untangled Mommy.

Super Hero Training

Andrew led all of the Super Hero's through a small training session.  This is going to prepare them for the obstacle course coming up.

Everybody is at work making their Superhero capes

This was a fun idea for the kids.  A roll of white paper cut up into long strips, decorated, and attached with colored duct tape.  All of the kids sat at different tables and enjoyed making their own cape.

We're ready for a Super Hero Party!!!

 Andrew wanted a black cake.  Yes, a black cake.  And he wanted all of his superhero lego's to go on top of it.  So that's what we did.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I made a different frosting with cream cheese and almond extract that just tasted yummy!

 A big thank you to Bethany for letting us use all of her Pampered Chef plates and displays.  It really helped make the cake and cupcakes look nice.

 All of the masks are ready for any superhero that wants one.

And the two screens are set up for fun video games for the kids to play.

Adeline's Fifth Basketball Game 2015

A great end to a good season.  Adeline played hard and enjoyed having such a large cheering section.  Coach Bean did a fantastic job with the girls and many of the parents were very pleased.  James is a great communicator and encourager.  It's fun being a part of the Mona Shores basketball program.  Go Sailors!!

Super Heroes Are Ready

Andrew's birthday party this year is going to be a Super Hero theme.  We have masks for all the kids to wear if they need/want one.  And Adeline and Andrew have their costumes all ready.  It's going to be fun!!!!!

Andrew's Happy Birthday Book

Andrew was so pumped when I picked him up from school today.  He not only brought in cupcakes to share while everyone sang him happy birthday but the entire class decorated a page and wrote what they like about Andrew.  What a cute idea.  I guess he even went into the other kindergarten teachers room and decorated the cover while the class decorated their pages.  That way he would be completely surprised.

We had homemade pizza and sundae's to celebrate Andrew turning 6 tonight.  I love his excitement and the way he hugs James.  It's been a fun day.

Andrew Opening Jabba's Palace

Last March James found Jabba's palace.  This Lego was no longer being made or sold.  And he found it.  So when he did we purchased it and have hidden it since.  Today since Andrew had a snow day James came home for lunch and we let him open it.  Andrew has been wanting Jabba's palace for a long time.  As you can see from the video he was very excited about it.  He worked all day and finished before dinner.  He built it all by himself.  After he was done we connected it to The Rancor Pit.  

I don't know if that smile can get any bigger.

Good Morning Birthday Boy!!!

Someone got a snow day for their birthday!!!!  I guess we'll have to do some extra special things today....

My Birthday with the people I love the most!!!!

My sweet family took great care of me today!  Breakfast and presents in bed, a personal announcement at church (James), we went out to the Olive Garden for lunch, I took a nap, went to the gym, and enjoyed an evening with good friends.  It was a nice birthday (all except the turning 35 part).  I love each of these pictures I needed to post them all (even Andrew's crazy one...because it is him).  I am blessed!
