Rise and Shine

Look at these cute sleepy girls!
Of course we must have donuts for breakfast.  It wouldn't make a sleepover complete without it.

Movie and a Sleepover

Maya and Sophie brought their American Girl doll movie Sage so the kids were all ready to watch it on the big screen.  We decided to keep the movie indoors and avoid the mosquitoes.
We made a super fun fort in the basement for the girls to sleep in.  Olivia needs to leave early in the morning to go to camp with her mom so we'll see how much sleep the girls actually get....

Adeline Meets Kit!!!

So about five months ago we were out watching a soccer game.  Adeline had her doll Rebecca with her and one of our friends saw how much she loved her doll.  He pulled James aside and said that his wife had been given some American Girl Dolls to give to little girls who they thought would enjoy them.  So James went and picked up Kit from their house and we've had her ever since.
She is a free doll.  One of the original American Girl dolls.  So she needed some extra love and care but she is in really good condition.  I imagine if I still had my Samantha doll she would be the same as this Kit doll.
The best part to this story is when I was driving with Adeline in the car after we had already picked up Kit (which she didn't know) and she was talking about if she were to ever get another doll.  She knows just how special Rebecca is and the thought of getting another doll is not a reality.  But she says "Mom, if I were to ever get another American Girl doll I would want Kit".  What!?  Really?  She just said that if she ever got another doll she would choose the one that we just got for free!  So cool!
And today she gets to open her up!

Adeline's Birthday Sleepover

Adeline had a fun birthday sleepover with her girlfriends tonight.  Of course even though she is having a party this weekend she should also have a sleepover.  The girls all brought their American girl dolls with them.  We had ice cream sundae's to celebrate because I don't want to make any more cake :-)

Adeline was very spoiled by her friends.  She got a bunk bed for Rebecca and slate from Maya and Sophie.  And she got "Argus" an American Girl dog with a paper doll book and two other American Girl books.  Her friends seem to know her well.  I think it's going to be a fun night.

Time for a break inside the arcade....

 Addy landed on 100 tickets....

Both kids redeemed all their tickets and are going to pick out some pretty fun toys.

More golfing fun!

Adeline got a hole in one.

This has been such a fun day together with our family.  I love that we can have fun together.  I hope that it is always like this.

Putt putt

Let's just say two of us had a little trouble with our balls going into the water....and it wasn't Adeline or Andrew.

Craig's Cruisers 2015

It's that time of year again!  Father's Day celebration with Daddy.  A beautiful day for it.  Warm and Sunny.

Addy get's to sing with Daddy

Kind of a special Father's Day for James.  He has Adeline come up front and help him with one of the songs.  She of course loves it and is not nervous at all.

Making some donuts for Daddy

Addy helped me in the kitchen to make some donuts for Daddy for his Father's Day breakfast.  He requested Donuts or DONUTS.  Both kids helped sugar the donuts.
A nice morning for Daddy to wake up to two happy kids all ready to celebrate him.

Andrew's Sixth Spring Soccer Game 2014

Great Grandpa Forte came up for the day to watch Andrew play in his soccer game.  Andrew played really well and we were all very proud of him.  At the end of the game Andrew's coach came up and asked us to move him up to U8 with him next season.  Andrew is a bit young for this but he will be with the same coach and a few of the same players.  We'll see how this goes.

I always try to get an end of season shot with my buddy!!
Thank you Grandpa Forte for coming and cheering Andrew on!!!

Bye Bye Elmo Couch.....You will be missed.

This couch may have been one of my hardest things to let go of.  SO many memories on this little couch.  I was able to pull up a few but believe me we have MANY pictures on this couch through the years.
Addy and Andrew's last time on the Elmo Couch
Possibly one of the first shots I had of the two on the couch together.
Adeline's first picture on the couch....she looks so happy.
Andrew's first picture on the couch...time goes by too fast.

Lemonade Stand

This weekend we had our big garage sale.  This was a sale where I officially got rid of all of my baby stuff.  I am still hopeful that some day I will miraculously become pregnant but until then it's time to sell.  The kids and I made a ton of cookies and lemonade.  Adeline and Andrew made the sign and had their whole little station set up.
The sale went really well and what I didn't sell I brought to a consignment shop and sold the rest.  Anything else that was left over went to Goodwill.

The kids made over $66.00 on their cookie sales.  Adeline was quite the sales lady not letting anyone go by without being asked (at least once) if they wanted to buy a cookie and lemonade.  Technically most of the sales should have gone to Addy because Andrew just got bored and would go play but we agreed they were to split the profit.
