Lunch while decorating....

We have to fill up so we have energy for the big party.

Adeline opened her gift from Aunt Aleisha before the party started.  And of course Andrew photo bombed it.  Adeline now has two new work out outfits with her own work out socks too.  She is very excited!!!

Andrew was sitting entertaining the girls.....it was pretty cute to see him telling jokes and acting silly so that they would all laugh at him.

Movie and a sleepover

The kids watched a little bit of Wreck It Ralph to get in the spirits for tomorrow.  Once they were starting to fall asleep we paused the movie for the night and headed upstairs.  

Michael slept in Andrew's room....they look pretty excited.

And Aliyah slept in Adeline's room.  You can't really see Aliyah but she was very excited to be on the bunk bed.

Friday night with cousins

Aunt Aleisha, Michael, and Aliyah got to the house around dinner time and we headed right out to the beach.  Tomorrow is Adeline's party and we weren't sure if we would have time to do the beach then so we packed dinner and spent the evening on the beach.

We aren't normally at the beach at night so this was a special treat.  The kids had a ton of fun.  The waves were crazy so Aleisha and I made sure we were with the kids in the water.

Behind us because the waves were so strong there was a shallow pond.  Or actually it was a big puddle.....but for now it was big enough to swim in.  And it was less crazy without the big waves.

Beach Day with the Corbins

Two fun beach days with friends in one week.  This week has been hot.  I don't have extra kids on Monday's or Wednesday's so if the weather is nice we try to plan a beach day.  Today we were able to go with the Corbins to Duck Lake.  And it was a hot day.....probably close to 90.  Thankful we were all by water for pretty much the whole day.  

The kids all had such a great time.  And I really enjoyed my time with Angela.  It's fun when you can sit and talk while the kids play so well together.

Andrew just decided by himself that this was the day he was going to swim underwater.  So he did.  I am super proud of him.  He basically did this all day.  He was having a blast.

Our First Beach Day With The Morse Family

Hard to believe that it is the middle of July and we are just having our first beach day together.  This summer has not been the best of summers especially compared to last year when we were so spoiled with nice weather just about every day.  Hopefully this won't be our last beach day together but if it is we tried to soak up all of our time.  Seems a bit harder to get together now also since I am working and they live in New Era.

Nana's Garden Tour

Saturday we headed out for the afternoon to Nana's Garden Tour.  The kids were very excited to see their cousins there too.  Nana's yard and garden looked very nice...they even had their picture in the paper.

Nana had a very nice backpack for Adeline (which she wore the whole time) and Andrew got these cool Darth Vader mask and a Transformer mask (Andrew LOVES them).

The kids and I spent the rest of the afternoon at the beach.  This was a nice end to a nice week.

Adeline's Last Day of Basketball Camp 2013

James made sure that I got a picture with Brad Kurth the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach just in case Adeline plays varsity and the chance that he is still coaching.  We'll see :)

Adeline had a great last day and just a super fun week!!!

Theses two boys kept themselves pretty busy too :)

She even got a certificate signed by her high school coaches with encouraging words.

I don't think she will hesitate to do this again next year!!

Adeline's Third Day at Basketball Camp 2013

More fun video's of Adeline learning to dribble and shoot.  They set the hoop to 8 1/2 feet.  Adeline has been doing a good job at home and at camp shooting and making baskets.  She has the same excitement every time!!!  I love it!!!

Each day the high school girls choose one girl from each grade that they thought went above and beyond.....and today they chose Adeline!!!  She was super excited to get a blow-pop!!  Good Job Addy!!!

Despicable Me 2 at the Drive In!!!

Our summer tradition continues with a trip to the Drive-In.  This is our third year going.  Our first year we saw Despicable Me.  And this year we saw Despicable Me 2.  We are getting pretty good at what to pack and how to set up the back of the van.  This year James brought our small beach chairs which worked great and made it more comfortable for he and I to sit in and hold the kids...all in the comfort of our own van.

 We even had a hair braiding session.

 I will never turn down a snuggle from my boy.

 Hard to get the best picture with the mosquito netting but we were in the front row, right in the center.  In my opinion, I think it was the best seat in the house.

 Monsters University was starting as we were leaving at 12 PM!!!!  

 I was impressed that the kids stayed awake for the whole trip home.  They quickly fell asleep once they were in their own beds.

Adeline's First day of basketball camp 2013!!!

Adeline started her first basketball camp today.  A couple weeks ago she was not excited about this camp but today she was all smiles.  James and I want to encourage Adeline to try many different things.  Once Adeline entered the building high school players were lined up on both sides clapping and saying welcome as she walked by.  She felt pretty special...you should have seen her face.

Here Adeline will learn a lot of basics and ball control.  She got her very own ball and as soon as we came home she was right outside shooting hoop, teaching the boys what she learned.

Andrew, Nick and Bryson all did very well.  I was happy that I could keep them all entertained or sleeping so that I could watch Adeline.
