Despicable Me 2 at the Drive In!!!

Our summer tradition continues with a trip to the Drive-In.  This is our third year going.  Our first year we saw Despicable Me.  And this year we saw Despicable Me 2.  We are getting pretty good at what to pack and how to set up the back of the van.  This year James brought our small beach chairs which worked great and made it more comfortable for he and I to sit in and hold the kids...all in the comfort of our own van.
We even had a hair braiding session.
I will never turn down a snuggle from my boy.
Hard to get the best picture with the mosquito netting but we were in the front row, right in the center.  In my opinion, I think it was the best seat in the house.
Monsters University was starting as we were leaving at 12 PM!!!!
I was impressed that the kids stayed awake for the whole trip home.  They quickly fell asleep once they were in their own beds.

Adeline's First day of basketball camp 2013!!!

Adeline started her first basketball camp today.  A couple weeks ago she was not excited about this camp but today she was all smiles.  James and I want to encourage Adeline to try many different things.  Once Adeline entered the building high school players were lined up on both sides clapping and saying welcome as she walked by.  She felt pretty special...you should have seen her face.
Here Adeline will learn a lot of basics and ball control.  She got her very own ball and as soon as we came home she was right outside shooting hoop, teaching the boys what she learned.

Andrew, Nick and Bryson all did very well.  I was happy that I could keep them all entertained or sleeping so that I could watch Adeline.

Adeline's last night of swim lessons...

Adeline is our little swimmer.  She is a fish.
Adeline also has moved on from her past session graduating from poliwogs.
Good job Addy Kay we are so proud of you.  I sure do love her smile.

Andrew's last night of swim lessons...

We are very proud of Andrew and all the progress he has made this swim session.  Thank you to Grandpa and Grandma Bean for paying for this session.  Andrew has officially passed Pikes and has now moved on the Pikes 2.
Isn't he cute....I just love him.

Sissy was also very proud of her brother.  Good Job Andrew!!!
Andrew was so excited to have his very own ribbon.  He takes it everywhere.

Dinner, a jump, and a movie....

We had a fun night with the Rudd boys.  For dinner we had bourben chicken, followed by a jump and movie.  It's always a fun time with the boys.  We have to do this more often....

A very busy beach day

It was no surprise that July 6th would be a busy beach day.  The kids and I headed down to enjoy the nice weather.  When we got there we saw tons of boats.  It seemed to us that there were almost as many boats as there were people.

Adeline brings some of her beach barbies to play with on the beach so Andrew decided that he wanted to bring his Ken doll too.  There were a couple of times we had Ken and he didn't have any shorts on so I went searching and found his swim trunks so that he wouldn't be embarrassed anymore.
Daddy came and met us on the beach for lunch after work but unfortunately I didn't get any pictures.  I will get at least one picture of James on the beach this summer.

Fireworks

Instead of watching fireworks in Battle Creek and then driving home at midnight we decided to drive home at seven and watch fireworks with friends in North Muskegon.
Adeline and Georgia were stuck at the hip.
I think Adeline put Georgia down for this picture but she may be behind her.
We love the Corbin girls.
Andrew playing with his cool glow stick holder

Sophie and her Aunt Katie.  Any guess who Sophie looks like???
Me and my kiddo's

Here with my girlfriends.  We all got to hang out more after the fireworks.....it was a fun, late, night.

James and Great Grandpa

We sure wished our time could have been longer but we are happy for the time we had.  Thank you for coming to visit Great Grandpa and Carol....we love you.

Adeline Reading to Great Grandpa Bean

Before our visit was over we wanted to make sure Adeline read to Great Grandpa.  She did a great job and I could tell Great Grandpa was really enjoying it.  I wish I would have also videotaped Adeline reciting all the books of the bible for Grandpa but I didn't.  She did recite them flawlessly and it was cute hearing her say all the books with her new missing front tooth.

Pictures, Pictures....

Adeline got to open up her birthday gift early from Great Grandpa Bean.  She was so excited to see Georgia underneath the wrapping.  Great Grandpa and Great Grandma have bought Adeline I think five different dolls/babies and she still plays with them all.  A girls got to have dolls!!!

4th of July Parade

This was a pretty fun morning.  We all headed to Marshall for their kid and puppy parade.  There were many dogs dressed up and a lot of kids riding bikes, walking, or being pulled in a wagon.

Then we sat and listened to their community band play many great patriotic songs.
We ate lunch and enjoyed our time.
Great Grandpa Bean and Great Grandma Carol enjoying the music.
Me and my love.
Josh Bethany....check out your faces here.  I am sure you aren't even looking at each other but it does look like you guys are mad or fighting :)

It's been two years since.....

.....the kids have been able to hug their Great Grandpa Bean!!!!  And they couldn't wait.  I think he was pretty excited about seeing them too.
Right away Grandpa came out to greet us and wanted to pick each kid up and give them the biggest hug.

We then made our way inside where we saw Great Grandma Carol and the kids were able to talk with Great Grandpa.
I wish we would have taken another four generation's picture.  I just didn't think of it.  But here we have three Bean men...
This was so sweet to watch Andrew talk to Great Grandpa.  Andrew was telling him stories and rubbing Grandpa's arms while he was talking.  Once we turned on the camera Andrew stopped and we weren't able to capture it...but I can still picture it in my mind and that memory will last forever.
