Pictures with the Princess!!!

Everyone wanted a picture especially this little man.
"Sissy, I like your hair"...."Sissy, you look pretty"
Daddy went out and got himself a special tux shirt.  We thought it looked even better with a shirt and tie underneath.
Sometimes I wish there was a Mommy-Daughter dance, but I LOVE that she had this time with her Daddy.
And Andrew wanted a picture with Daddy too.  He really wants a boys night with Daddy too.  He's pretty jealous but hopefully his night with me will be fun....

Adeline getting her flower from Daddy

Daddy made Adeline feel so special.....He came home with a very sweet card, filled with loving words of encouragement, praise, and excitement about being her Daddy and the Dance they were about to go to.  I am so glad James did this.  Adeline looks up to her Daddy so much.  I am so thankful for the relationship they share and the time and effort he puts forth.  She's going to have a hard time finding another man just like her Daddy.  These are pretty big shoes to fill.

Getting ready for the dance

Adeline can't wait until 5:30 when Daddy gets home to take her out to dinner and then to the Father-Daughter Dance.  Adeline sat very well for an hour while I curled all of her hair.  It helped that I put on a movie for her to sit and watch.  After I was all done she moved the chair to the mirror and was so happy when she saw her hair.  Always a good feeling after spending so long on someones hair when they like it.  She also loved the little crown.  I think it is funny that she didn't seem to know that I put it in because it was a complete surprise when she looked in the mirror.

I still keep preparing myself for the day she wants a hair cut.
But we never talk about doing such things.....
Adeline's friend Jersey let her borrow her Sleeping Beauty dress.
Thanks Jersey!

Celebrating with the Bride

In two weeks Cindy will be married and living in Grandville.  We wanted to do something with just us girls so we went out to C.F. Prime (a restaurant Cindy had been wanting to go to).  It was a fun time talking about the marriage, and wedding.

Read to a friend

We had a fun playdate with Cindy, Lauren and Carter.  It was perfect timing for Adeline because tonight on the calendar it wants you to read to a friend.

And what playdate is complete without a dance party

It sure looks like they're having fun!  Andrew too :)

Paper Boats for sale

I love creativity!
The girls made these boats, a box to put the money in with the word "money" written on it, and then brought up the cash register to make sure they gave back the appropriate change.

They made a ton of money during this sale.
Andrew and I were their only customers.

Polly Pocket Time

While Andrew was supposed to be sleeping in his room the girls quietly played polly pockets in Addy's room.

Monday Playdate

Adeline, Jersey and Mallory have been talking about having a playdate with the three of them for a long time.  It was time to make it a reality.  Andrew and I went and picked up all three girls at school today.  Each of the girls and Andrew had huge smiles on their faces.  Andrew even held Jerseys hand walking back to the car and he had the sweetest smile on his face.
First things first though.....we must do homework before we can play.
Andrew decided he would work better on his homework with his shirt off.  Or maybe he just wanted to show the ladies his muscles :)

March is reading month...

Adeline has a calendar we got from school that tells us something to do each day in connection to reading.  Yesterday was read in the bathtub (which she did) and today it was read under a blanket tent.  We made the blanket tent and Adeline read a couple stories to Andrew.
Hearing Adeline read to Andrew is definitely in my top moments as a mom.

Someone was home sick today.....

As Addy just laid on the couch all day (besides her four hour nap) not feeling well.  To perk her up I painted her nails and put on some decals.

The BFG

Grandma and Grandpa were able to take part in Adeline first night of her all school read.  March is Reading month and at Lincoln Park every night each family reads a chapter and then answers questions we get from a recorded message from the principal.  This is a very fun month for us and it was nice to share the first night with Grandma and Grandpa.
And this is what Andrew did while we listened to the story.

Wreck It Ralph

Grandma and Grandpa wanted to come up for the evening because we wouldn't be seeing them for a couple of weeks.  We were planning to take the kids to Wreck It Ralph in the cheaps so not only did they join us but they also treated us to the whole evening.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
And Wreck It Ralph was a great movie!  Two thumbs up from the Beans.
