Addy's new bike!!!

With Adeline's birthday money we went out and bought her, her very own helmet and princess bike. We bought her the helmet first so we were planning on the princess bike but when we got there she really wanted the Diego bike...we had to convince her that since we already had the helmet we needed to get the princess bike. She was ok with that.

She did really well for her first time. It will take some encouragement and practice but we'll get there.

So there are some benefits to being short/small

Like snuggling with Addy and reading stories in bed,
or swimming in her little pool.

A day at the beach

We met the Morse family at a channel right off of lake Michigan where the water is shallow and perfect for kids. Adeline loved it and especially loved being with her friends Anna and Matthias. Andrew and Eli were able to have some bonding time too. Lots of picture of our fun day.

North Muskegon Parade

Last week we went up to North Muskegon with our friend's the Morse family and watched the North Muskegon Parade. There really isn't anything exciting about this parade besides the kids getting lots of candy. I love watching Adeline and Anna and their relationship grow as they get older. Sadly the Morse family is going to be moving away (not too far), so we have to be more intent on getting together.

Even while drinking juice...

...Adeline has a tough time sharing. Actually this isn't even her toy anymore and hasn't been for over two years. I think things are going to be a little bit crazy at our house over the next few months....(or until Adeline learns to start sharing with her brother).

Logan and Addy

Over the past few months we have begun to form a relationship with a couple from our church and their daughter Logan. Adeline and Logan get along really well and love spending time together. Here are pictures from the other night when Shane, Ammorete and Logan came over for dinner and a movie.

One more day....

Everyone in the Bean family made it back to Olivet for the weekend to celebrate Grandpa Bean's birthday, even the Philly Beans. We were very excited about this trip because it would be the second time we have gotten together with Brooke. She has grown so much in three months and is her own little person. We all loved watching Andrew and Brooke interact and play by each other. I am sure they are going to have an awesome relationship in the years to come. (like Adeline and her cousin Michael) Adeline did really good considering not all of the attention was on her....we just had to keep an eye on her when she was by the babies.
The weekend was filled with good food, G.I. JOE the movie (boys only), fun with the kids, lots of laughs, and ended with a game of round robin. Round Robin is a ping-pong game where you run around the table hitting the ball trying to keep it on the table. I think this has become the Bean tradition. Last time (while pregnant), I won. (James said Josh went easy on me). This time Betsey won...both times. I was in the final for the first round :-) During the second game I was behind Dad Bean which I wouldn't have thought was a problem except he always hit his ping-pong ball to James and then James would hit his to me. So what did my father-in-law do (two times in a row) to his "favorite brown eyed" daughter-in-law???? He set James up so that he could slam it in my face!!!! I have never seen my father-in-law laugh so hard than when James slammed the ball down the second time and I reacted. It was pretty funny..at my expense...but still funny.
Sadly we had to go home and say good-bye. We are looking forward to the next time the whole Bean family can be together

Six Months

We took Andrew in for a weight check on his 6 month birthday since his actual appointment isn't for a few weeks. He definitely takes after his Daddy weighing in at 20 pounds 4 ounces. He is also 28 inches long which puts him in the 95th percentile all around. You should check out my biceps they're pretty big :-)

Can you get it???

His daddy crawled after graham crackers...Andrew is too young for those so we are trying the pacifier. Doesn't taste as good but he doesn't know that.

Fun with Jaely

This afternoon I watched Jaely while her parents had an appointment. We all had a lot of fun. Adeline enjoyed playing with Jaely and "learning" how to share her toys. Jaely was just great. She walked all around the house checking everything out. She really liked Adeline's new Dora tent and her Elmo couch. I was impressed at how well they played together and how laid back Jaely was. She was great to watch.
