World's Best GOTR Runner!

Adeline was so excited to beat her last weeks laps total.  The last day she ran she did 9 laps.  Today she was set on beating it.  And instead of 10 she did 15!  She was pretty pumped!  When she came out to the van she was holding another certificate that only goes out to one girl each practice.  Today it was Adeline's turn and she couldn't have been more excited.  Good job Addy Kay!  Way to work hard!!!

Pen Happy

This picture actually doesn't pick up all of the pen marks.  It was just too tempting for him not to write on his face while we were waiting for Adeline to get out of Girls On The Run.  And yes, that is a bruise on his head.  While he was disobeying his Dad he wasn't looking where he was going and ran into the stair beam.  Ouch!

....show Daddy how sweaty I am!  This girl is a hard worker.  She is doing great and having a lot of fun.  She already got another certificate for participating in conversation.  Hooray for Girls on the Run!!!

Andrew's Mystery Reader is......

....big sister Adeline!  This was a pretty special time.  Adeline has been looking forward to surprising Andrew for two weeks now.  I'm so thankful they were both able to go back to school and that this could actually happen.  Adeline gave her five clues:

1.  I love Little House Books

2  I am in third grade

3.  I am a girl.

4.  I love basketball

5.  I am the oldest child in my family

I love that they get to share these moments together.  Adeline is a great older sister...(most of the time, when Andrew isn't aggravating).  Especially during school hours, I don't know what it is but I always hear of the two seeing each other and giving hugs or sharing treats.  I'm thankful for that and I hope it continues.  Maybe it could continue more at home.....

Mother/Son night

Tonight Mr. Andrew and I went on a little date.  We weren't sure if this date was going to happen because we have all been sick with the flu.  But after being cooped up for an entire week we decided to go out for a few hours...play it by ear by how we feel.  I'm glad we did.  It was nice to be out of the house and we weren't alone with being sick.  Come to find out one of the days this week there were 100 kids sick from school.

Andrew and I had a great time together.  It was a little different because since there were so many kids that signed up there weren't actually enough spots to accommodate.  So I was asked if I would not bowl.  I was fine with that but wanted to make sure Andrew and I still had some time together.  All of his others buddies mom's also didn't bowl so it all worked out.  Next year they will make sure to reserve more spots.

This picture of the boys was hard to get and I hit the button just in time to get the perfect shot.  We have Nash, Payton, Andrew B., Andrew F. and Jacob.  All buddies from Andrew's kindergarten class.

We took advantage of the photo booth both Andrew and I  and then Andrew and his buddies.  I'm glad Andrew and I were able to have this time.  He's my little buddy, I love him!

Girls on the Run has begun!

When I came to get Adeline tonight each and every girls face was pure red.  They had them running quite a bit tonight.  Adeline was showing off all of her dots on her hand that represented each lap.  She had nine dots!  Way to go Adeline!

Special Package from Great Grandpa

Great Grandpa Bean said he couldn't pass this by.  He saw it and thought of his Great Grandson and had to get it.  Well Andrew sure does love it!  Thanks Great Grandpa Bean.

We have a van full of young kids who are excited about Splash Universe.

Daddy-Daughter Dance 2015

This years theme is a HoeDown.  Adeline and I had fun getting her ready for this dance.  I must admit it hardly took any time compared to the other years.  I found the skirt for $3, the shirt is a friends, tights she got for Christmas, hat is Grandma's, and boots I got for $8.  Adeline was counting down the minutes until Daddy came home.

 Here they are...all ready!

 And this special note I know made James' night.  This is from his daughter which she decided to write herself and give to him at the dinner.

"Daddy, I love you.  I am very happy to have you as a Dad!  I am excited to dance with you tonight!  I love you!"

 And she held to her promise.....they both had so much fun together, came home with big smiles on their faces and told me they dance together the entire night!!!!
