Daddy's home!!!

Sunday night James came home just before bedtime. Adeline was really happy to see him. Unfortunately my camera died just as we went to see him at the door but I think this captures a lot of her excitement.

Daddy and Addy...

For Father's Day I got James a picture journal called Dates with Dad. I wasn't sure if I would be the one actually filling this out when they went on their dates but I thought it would be great for Adeline. Well.....to my surprise while working at NP I was visited by Addy and Daddy. For Adeline's b-day (since James would be working all day) he took her out to Chuckie Cheese for their first date. They were both very excited to come and show me all of the fun they had. Even though I was sad to have missed out on their great adventure I was very proud of James and reminded once again of what an exceptional father he is.

Happy Birthday Adeline....

It's hard to believe that it has been two years since Adeline Kay came into the world. Last night while she was sleeping James and I watched her birth video. I am so thankful that I have it all on tape, it is such a special reminder. It was fun looking at her just being born and seeing so many characteristics that she still carries to this day. Her pouty lip, her cheeks, her cry.

My prayer for Adeline every night (after we pray for Becca, Aimee, Rock-is, Daddy, Mommy, Nana, Papa, Bapa, MoMa, Aunt Bedis, Aunt Enin, Leish, Michael, and all of the Disney characters) is that she will choose to love and follow Jesus and that she will never doubt how much her parents love her and each other.

Hawaiian Lou ou

Saturday we celebrated Adeline's 2nd birthday with a Hawaiian Lou ou. We weren't too sure if the weather would cooperate so we had the inside of the house prepared and ready. Thankfully the weather held off and we had an amazing day. Adeline was a little under the weather so she wasn't quite herself but she did pretty good. One of the most exciting parts was James' giant volcano that would erupt periodically.

A playdate with Mina (Maya)

The long awaited play date finally happened. Adeline was able to play with her friend Mina (Maya). She had a lot of fun taking care of Maya's babies and feeding them milk. Maya was an excellent host and Adeline really enjoyed herself. We look forward to the next time.

A shower for Jinnae...

Today Adeline and I had a shower for Jinnae and Vicki. There were a few people from the Muskegon area who had yet to meet Jinnae and this provided that chance. It was a great time of talking and visiting and watching all the girls play together.

4th of July

I think that this might have been the fourth year that we have celebrated the 4th of July with the Peoples/Mills clan. We always enjoy hanging out, going for boat rides, eating good food, and watching awesome fireworks. Each gathering has definitely changed every year when there are new additions. I remember when it was just little baby Ryan Thomas who is now four years old. We had a wonderful time and look forward to next year.
